As part of the ongoing public involvement process associated with NEPA, the DAF hosted a series of public hearings to receive public comments on the environmental impacts of the proposed action presented in the Draft EIS. The DAF hosted three public hearings:

•
Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022 – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Eastern) at a location near Selfridge ANGB, Michigan
•
Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022 – 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Central)/6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Eastern) – virtually
The materials presented at the public hearings, received comments, and associated documentation, as well as the Final EIS (when published) will be made available
for viewing on the Documents/Information Page.
For those who were unable to attend a public hearing, comments were accepted online or by mail. While the DAF will accept comments at any
time during the environmental process, the DAF requested comments from interested local, state, and federal agencies; federally recognized
tribes; and interested members of the public by October 17, 2022 in order to ensure the DAF has sufficient time to consider public input in
preparation of the Final EIS. The DEIS comment period is now closed.
